I need to buy stuff for my cousin's new baby girl and OMFG there's so much stuff online (Amazon) its overwhelming. Being as I know NOTHING about babies, everything looks pretty much the same to me. *sigh* how the fuck am I supposed to know what amuses babies? So far in my shopping cart, I have a couple of outfits, this playmat (which I'm hoping will be worth the extra $$- it's got flashy lights and music), and I thought maybe a diaper pail?? I'm trying to go the practical route and get them things they'll actually use-- and all I remember from when Regina was a baby was smelly, smelly diapers. >.<

In other news, I'm in San Diego till Jan. 2. Going up to LA from the 29th to 1st for pre-Rose Bowl celebrations (a bunch of ppl are flying in). Then it's back to the midwest for me. I also realy need to find a job once I get back so I can pay for my summer China-trip with Eric (i've only got $2-300 right now, soooo eek!). (i was going to use my signing bonus, but that would be irresponsible... and oh yeah, maybe i should use that to pay for moving and new apt rent...)

What is this? About the 3rd or 4th attempted sexual assault case on campus/quad in 2 months? I dunno, but it freaks me out.

Currently at 23 hours. but let's be perfectly honest, I am taking "Exploring Geology in the Field", which is one hour. Introduces practical techniques for identification of rocks, minerals, and fossils; interpretation of geologic maps and cross-sections; appreciation of Midwestern geologic history and geologic features and landforms in the field. Two field trips are required (a 1-day and a 3-day trip). Basically, we go camping.

I really wanted to get into CS 411- Database Systems but it had a time conflict with a required class- which happened a lot this semester :(

Solution to the War in Iraq

I've somehow managed to fall a week behind cs lectures. :( Half of the class is(are? God I suck at grammar) enrolled online, which means all the lectures are online- which means I have zero motivation to wake up early to go to class. So now I'm trying to do the weekly MP and I have no idea what this crap is. Nobody's fault but my own, I guess. I'm also incredibly behind in my online Business class (I have 9 months to finish the course, so naturally I'm not going to really start working until month 7).
This week would normally suck with all the shit that needs to get done, but I'm still uber excited. Two reasons- I'm expecting mail today & Harry Potter comes out Friday!! Keith, Andy, and I are going to the Borders release party, which I'm pretty fuckin' excited about. We then plan to lock ourselves in our rooms for the entire next day, without any contact to the outside world. Part of me wants to take my time reading it, but I know some asshole would spoil it for me. And if that were to happen, it would leave me no choice but to slowly kill him (or her)- complete with torture and everything.

Okay, I've distracted myself for long enough. Back to worky work.
